When you go to the Gallery, one photo is shown. To go to the next one, tap or click the button at the bottom of the photo. Use the browser back button to go back to a previous photo, or if you are using a device such as a smartphone, tap the phone's back button.
Tapping on the image twice will usually cause the image to fit the screen width.
I have tried to simply the design of this site, yet to be able to display adequately on a desktop or laptop computer or on a smartphone or tablet. There are trade-offs but I wouldn't want to spend too much time trying to find or master the good codes to making a snazzy site. Sorry, you can't swipe or scroll to get to the next image. I will just have keep things simple.
For the initiated and the coders, what I really did differently was to set the initial-scale to 0.5 as shown here in the head section of the HTML code:
A lot of help files in the Net tell you to set it to 1 but that will only give you frustrations.
On older smartphones with display widths less than 720 pixels they will not display the photos centered but then again there are fewer and fewer of those phones around. Still I admit there are many things not optimized in this site but I will leave it at that. Nevertheless I have endeavored to keep the site compliant with HTML5 and CSS3.
Back to the non-coders, the photos are given a square format so that a smartphone user doesn't have to rotate the phone to see more. At least, it won't tease the user to rotate the phone. Sure, there are a few photos that I have to omit because cropping to a square would not do justice to it. You can un-pinch to zoom in, it shouldn't be a problem. Or you can long press the image and select full image which will then fit the width of the screen.
